Do you regularly think: my blog doesn’t grow..? Then you aren’t alone! Many bloggers suffer from this and are, therefore, always looking for a solution. This is why I have written a blog post about the reasons why your blog doesn’t grow. Curious? Read on!

Your blog doesn’t grow, because:
You don’t use automatic tools
Believe me, automatic tools are so important. These tools make sure you promote your blog frequently and that’s hard of course. This is why I use Tailwind to schedule my pins and Later for Instagram.
You don’t see yourself as an expert
It’s important that you see yourself as an expert. How should others believe you if you don’t even believe in yourself?
No pretty pictures
I click on a post for two reasons: a good title and beautiful pictures. It is therefore very important to take beautiful pictures. That is why I regularly use stock photos.
Design
A good design is just really important. Your website needs to look beautiful so your readers won’t leave your website.
These are my favorite websites to buy themes:
No target audience
Do you know how important it is to have a target audience? A while ago, when I only had one blog. I blogged on one blog about beauty/fashion and about blog tips. This way, you can never reach your perfect target audience and that is why I didn’t grow with my blog.
You don’t promote enough
Promoting is difficult, I know. You need a lot of time and it’s just hard to promote every day. Yet it’s very important to do this. For example, every day I promote in a number of Facebook groups, post tweets on Twitter, post at least 3 times a week on Instagram (this should actually happen more often!) and I post at least 50 pins a day on Pinterest.

You don’t have a clear goal
It is so important to have a clear goal. I currently have a couple of goals I want to reach in 2019. These are a lot of goals and that’s why I need to schedule my time. That’s a thing I still need to work on.
Must read: Reaching your goals | This is how you do that!
You don’t have an email list
I regret it soo much that I didn’t start immediately with an email list. Having an email list is so important and you can reach so many more people with such a list. Please, just start right now!
Must read: Email Service Provider | Which is the best?
Blog speed
Your blog speed is so important. Soon I want to increase the blog speed of The Blog Boss and I hope to free more time for that soon. Fortunately, my blog speed is already reasonable, but it can always be better. Wondering how to increase your blog speed? Definitely read this blog about website speed.

No clear brand
It is so important to have a clear brand. For example, I use three different colors on The Blog Boss, I have a clear and recognizable logo and my website is also part of my brand. So make sure you have a clear brand in mind and that this also comes back in your blog design.
Not enough freebies
Freebies are so important! For example, if you sign up for my email list, you will get freebies frequently. Think about, handy templates, webinars, ebooks and more!
Your content is boring
Who would like to read boring content? Well, nobody would like that. It is so important to make good and educational content. Without that good content, you really don’t get anywhere.
Too many jobs
I am really guilty of this. Please don’t take too many jobs at once. You can better focus on one thing than ten things at once. It is therefore important that you always focus on one social media at the same time. I would start with Pinterest because you can get the most out of it.
Do you frequently think: my blog doesn’t grow.. ? And why doesn’t your blog grow?
