Promoting your blog isn’t just a thing. It takes a lot of time and you want something for this back of course. Do you want to know how to promote your blog? This way you get the most traffic to your blog!
Promote your blog with Facebook
Facebook is my number one to promote my blogs. I get so many visitors because of Facebook. If you don’t use Facebook, then you really need to try this. You can make a page of course, but you can also promote your blog posts in Facebook groups. My ten favorite Facebook groups:

I use Twitter most of the time to get in touch with other bloggers. I don’t get many visitors via Twitter, but just a bit. All bits help and that’s the reason why Twitter is on my promotion list. On Twitter, you can post your blog posts and when you do this often, you can get a lot of visitors for it back.
I promote my English blog posts on Pinterest and on Pinterest you have a couple of groups boards as well. In these group boards, you can promote your pins and see the pins of the other pinners. When you pin a lot, then you get a lot of visitors back.

Bookmarking sites
I don’t think many bloggers heard about bookmarking sites. When you post a link to a blog post on a bookmarking site. then other people can see this and click through to the blog post. You can reach a whole different audience and I hope of course there are a couple of returning readers between this. My two favorite bookmarking sites are StumbleUpon and Digg
LinkedIn is especially important for the companies who want to work with you. I cooperated with a couple of companies who found me via LinkedIn. I see LinkedIn as an online CV, where you can also promote your blog posts on. I don’t get a lot of visitors for this back, but it is really handy for future collaborations. For example, when a company emails me for a collaboration, I first look on LinkedIn if this company is trustable. This can be the other way as well of course. Companies who look if a blogger is trustable.
Google+
Google+ ensures that your blog posts stay searchable for a long time. I sometimes google my blog and then I see an article still being on the front page after one year. Here I get a lot of visitors of and I don’t have to do much for this.
Programs to plan your posts
I think this is the dream of every blogger, to automatic promote your blog posts. I’ve seriously spent a century(!) searching for a program who automatic promotes your blog posts on Facebook, but this doesn’t exist. Well, it exists, but I am not going to spend thirty euros a month for this. It would be heaven to never promote something on the Facebook groups anymore. I have a program to automatically promote posts on Twitter. This program (or this website 😉 ) is called Buffer. Here you can plan in posts for your Facebook (page), Twitter, LinkedIn, and Google+. I especially use the Twitter option, because the Facebook option doesn’t work for me. I always want to add a translation to my Facebook Page, but I can’t do this with Buffer.
Printable
Of course, I created a new printable for you guys. Not just a printable, but a checklist for social media. This way you never miss a post moment and your traffic will definitely grow! The printable is (the same as last time) available in purple and black. Purple for the ladies and black for the men ;). Enjoy!

Great tips, I have personally tried promoting my blog on facebooks and it’s really worth what you pay for. I think Facebook is the social media platform when it comes to driving traffic.
However, I am struggling to get more traffic from Pinterest which I’ve joined recently. I’m hoping all will be okay.
Thanks for sharing this.
