Selling things as a freelancer | How do you do that?

Besides my blog, I also regularly sell things as a freelancer. This way I optimize Pinterest profiles, test websites and translate texts at a very low price. You can, of course, decide these rates yourself and working as a freelancer is just great fun. I do this next to my blog and it is, of course, a very nice extra service. Curious about how you can easily sell things as a freelancer? Then read this blog.

Fiverr

Fiverr is a program which I use to sell my things. Besides that, I have a portfolio website, but that isn’t a must. You can sell a lot of different things on Fiverr. For example, are you good at drawing or do you love designing things? You can do everything on Fiverr. That’s why Fiverr is so nice. Fiverr is actually a huge marketplace where you can offer all of your things. That’s why Fiverr is a big recommendation to expand your portfolio.

Scrybs

Besides that, you also have a program called Scrybs. Scrybs is a program for translators and this way you can translate texts. You will get 0.06 euros per word, what is around 12 euros for a text of 200 words. Actually pretty nice! If you are a professional translator, then you will get 0.12 euros per word. Click here to sign up.

Selling things as a freelancer

The first thing I recommend is to describe your services very extensively. Describe what you do, what you offer and what the end product will be. If you don’t have a detailed description, people don’t know what to expect and if they don’t know what to expect, they easily switch to a competitor.

It’s of course what kind of product you offer, but the competition is usually very large. To see what the competition is doing and try to distinguish from it. For example, you can offer a freebie or see if you can do something about your prizes.

In addition, communication is very important. Usually, I get a message first if I can offer what I offer. Usually, I ask what exactly they want and then I explain extensively whether this is possible. Communication is the most important of all.

Now you are probably wondering how I keep up with my payroll, benefits, and HR. Well, I just use Gusto. This company will provide expert support and will get you the peace of mind you need to do your best work. It is definitely a recommendation to check out the free trial!
