Promoting your blog in 2017 is pretty hard, especially when there are different ways to promote your blog. I struggled a long time promoting my blog and I still struggle doing this. Since a couple of months, my blog traffic gets better and better and I achieve all my goals every month. Curious how you can promote your blog in 2017? Then click to learn more.
Promoting your blog in 2017 with Twitter
With Twitter, you can reach many people, when you do it right. I use Buffer to schedule my tweets, but I will write an article about that later. Don’t forget to use hashtags and it is also handy to mention people in your tweets. Most of the time those people retweet your tweet when you mention them. I promote my blogs and other bloggers’ blogs pretty often and that works to my advantage.
Promoting your blog in 2017 with Pinterest
Meanwhile, I think everyone knows I love Pinterest. Still, this can’t miss from this list. Did you know Pinterest brings the most traffic to my website? It is my number one traffic generator and that after half a year. Think about how big my blog can grow when I am longer on Pinterest.
I think every blogger has heard of Facebook. I recommend making a Facebook page if you haven’t done that yet. Besides that, there are a lot of Facebook groups where you can promote your blog in. It is very handy to use these groups. Soon, I will write another post about Facebook and how you can use this the best way.
For Instagram, I have shared a couple of tips already. Click here for the first part of these tips and click here for the second part of these tips. I use Instagram not that much and I definitely have to change that. I want to post more and I am thinking about posting every day on my Instagram page in September because I want to give my Instagram page a huge boost. It doesn’t take long to post a picture and to make a good description and a couple of hashtags, but the problem is the pictures itself. I don’t have enough picture to post a picture every day, but this is actually good to do.
I think that many bloggers forget how handy it is to promote offline. I don’t talk about talking to other people about your blog every day but think about visit cards for example. For example, when you go to a press event or to another event where you want to write about on your blog, then you can definitely bring a couple of visit cards. I always have a couple of visit cards in my camera bag, because you never know. I only have to gather some courage to give these visit cards.
When I used Reddit, my blog traffic grew a lot. I notice that not many bloggers use Reddit and sometimes I forget to post on Reddit as well. Don’t you know what Reddit is? Then read this post.
It also helps to leave comments at other bloggers’ post. When bloggers leave a comment on my blog, I click on their blog to get to know that blogger. It is important to post comments which you would normally post as well. Don’t post comments like “nice” or comments which just doesn’t make sense at all, because that doesn’t help at all.
Which way haven’t you used yet?
